What is Titration?

All CPAP devices (excluding Auto-CPAP) need to be titrated before use. Every sleeper breathes differently and the amount of air pressure they need to breathe well at night varies. Titration refers to the process of calibrating the device so that the air pressure delivered optimizes breathing at night. Titration can be done in a sleep lab or at home.
